RC Model Airplane Club

Clark County Barnstormers is located at Hisle Field, in Clark County, KY.  It is a community-focused RC airplane club offering a grass flying site, hands-on STEM learning opportunities, and a welcoming environment for model aviation enthusiasts of all skill levels.

About CC Barnstormers

Our Story

Clark County Barnstormers is a growing radio-controlled (RC) airplane club based in the heart of Kentucky, dedicated to promoting model aviation, fellowship, and STEM education within the community. Our club features a 1,000-foot grass runway located on a private farm, complete with designated safety areas and pit stands to support safe and enjoyable flying. With over 50 active members, we welcome pilots of all experience levels—from beginners to seasoned flyers—and actively encourage newcomers to learn and get involved.

In addition to our outdoor flying site, members enjoy year-round opportunities including indoor flying during the winter months and access to a nearby pond for float plane operations. As a club sanctioned by the Academy of Model Aeronautics, we uphold the highest standards of safety and responsible flying. Our field is also designated as an FAA-Recognized Identification Area (FRIA) and is a recognized private landing strip, meaning full-scale aircraft may occasionally operate in the area.

We are passionate about engaging the next generation through STEM-focused activities that highlight the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics behind model aviation.

Membership is just $20 per year, and we invite you to connect with us at clarkcountybarnstormers@gmail.com or visit www.ccbarnstormers.com to learn more, view our calendar of events, and join our community.
